Special Election Scheduled to Fill Vacant State Rep Seat
The 19th District seat is vacant due to the election to the state Senate of former Rep. Derek Slap.

AVON, CT — A special election to fill a vacant seat in the Connecticut General Assembly has been scheduled by Governor Ned Lamont.
The governor announced Friday he has scheduled April 16, 2019 as the date to hold a special election to fill a vacancy for state representative in the 19th Assembly District of the Connecticut House of Representatives, which consists of portions of Avon, Farmington, and West Hartford.
The seat became vacant following the resignation of State Representative Derek Slap, who won a special election this week to fill a vacancy in the State Senate.
