BERLIN, CT — The Town of Berlin has announced the winners of its "Berlin in Red, White & Blue" Patriotic Decorating Contest, part of the community's observance of the nation's 250th anniversary.
The contest invited residents and businesses to create patriotic displays visible from public streets and roadways. Winning entries received recognition in several categories.

The We the People Award was determined through public voting by Berlin residents and visitors.
The decorating contest was offered at no cost to participants, with awards carrying $100 Visa gift cards.
Participants were asked to keep their displays in place through Saturday, Sept. 26.
The contest is among Berlin's activities commemorating the United States' semiquincentennial.
