Berlin Approves Dive Team Boat Purchase
The new boat will help in rescue situations and with locating submerged stolen vehicles.

BERLIN, CT - The council has approved a new boat for the dive team, replacing the existing boat which is 12 years old, the Hartford Courant reported. Officials said the new boat is necessary as the old one is too small. The new boat will be able to accommodate one diver and two team members.
The boat is a regional resource shared between Berlin and New Britain. It's been used in the past to save people in danger and locate stolen vehicles submerged in bodies of water. To sign up for free Berlin news alerts and more, click here.
