Berlin HS Artists Recognized At State Competition
The two students earned 'Gold Key' status recently for their work and had their art on display at a UHart event.
BERLIN, CT — Two local high school students recently saw their artwork recognized as part of a state artistic awards program, with their work displayed at a special art exhibit.
"Berlin High School is excited to announce that two students had artworks recognized as Gold Key in the Connecticut Regional Scholastic Art Awards," wrote the school in an announcement.
"This is a high-level, professionally juried event that recognizes only the best student artwork from schools across Connecticut."

Honored were:
• Madelyn Lazzara, Grade 12, for “Purpose, Passion, Prayer” — Photography Gold Key.

• Chloe Constantine, Grade 10, for “Celestial Earrings” — Jewelry Gold Key.
Their work was included in an in-person gallery show at Hartford Art School’s Silpe Gallery on the University of Hartford campus from Jan. 16 to Feb. 2.
In addition, an award ceremony with guest speakers took place on Jan. 28 at the Lincoln Theater on the University of Hartford Campus in West Hartford.
