UConn Health Department of Medicine Clinical Research Unit. The Department of Medicine at UConn Health has a long history of conducting and supporting clinical research in diverse subspecialties. Our mission is to provide expanded opportunities for clinical research to our faculty and improve the quality and efficacy of treatments available to our patients.<br /><br />The clinical research unit actively manages diverse trials, focusing on areas such as chronic disease management, respiratory health, and metabolic disorders. With a dedicated team of research nurses and study coordinators, the department provides comprehensive support for both inpatient and outpatient clinical studies, ensuring high standards of safety and efficacy.<br /><br />Patients can expect a patient-centered approach supported by institutional oversight and expert medical leadership. By participating in clinical trials at UConn Health, individuals gain access to cutting-edge therapeutic options and specialized care overseen by experienced principal investigators.

Join Rock Voices, the community choir that ONLY sings rock music!

<p>Any adult who has helped a learner—formally or informally—has access to two useful voices: a “Teacher Voice” that provides instruction, information, and sometimes step-by-step directions, and an “Executive Function Coach Voice” that invites thinking, problem-solving, and&nbsp;ownership.</p>
<p>Both are important. The key is knowing which voice the learner needs in the moment — when to step in with direction and when to step back and make room for&nbsp;thinking.</p>
<p>Join Cognition and Learning Teacher and Executive Function Coach Robyn Greenspan, Cognition and Learning Head of Department Brittany Bloom-Price, and Director of Cognition and Learning Dr. Kristin Simmers as they share research-informed strategies that work for learners of all ages, with a&nbsp;focus&nbsp;on:</p>
