Berlin Police Honor Fallen Officer

BERLIN, CT - In honor of National Police Week and National Peace Officer Memorial Day, members of the Berlin Police Department gathered with the Casner family to present the annual Casner Award to Officer Ithier for his efforts to reduce drunk driving.

Officer Ithier is proactive in our campaign of reducing drunk drivers, making our roadways safer. We also took this day to honor Berlin Ofc. Jeffrey Casner who gave his life in the line of duty on 2/2/85. This year Officer Casner posthumously received a Blue Heart Award
