Berlin Police Officers Save Young Woman's Life
Administration of Naloxone helped revive a woman who had sustained a suspected opioid overdose.

BERLIN, CT β Two Berlin police officers were able to save a young womanβs life in the early morning hours Thursday after being called to a residence for a report of an unresponsive person.
Sgt. Mark Soneson and Officer Mark Fowler arrived and immediately recognized symptoms of a suspected opioid overdose. They administered oxygen and began CPR, Deputy Chief John Klett said.
Fowler then administered a dose of Naloxone, which improved the victim's breathing. The young woman began to come around shortly after receiving a second dose of Naloxone. She was then transported to a hospital by ambulance for follow up care, Klett said.

Berlin police have carried Naloxone since February 2016, according to Klett.
