Berlin Police Officers Successfully Revive Overdose Victim

Two doses of Naloxone helped bring the victim back to consciousness.

BERLIN, CT β€” Two Berlin police officers are being credited with saving a life in the early morning hours Sunday, after being called to a residence for a report of an unresponsive male found lying on the living room floor.

Officers Tom Bobok and Tyler Cyr responded and recognized symptoms of a suspected opioid overdose, and immediately administered high flow oxygen. Cyr then administered a dose of Naloxone, after which there was no improvement in the victim’s condition. A second dose of Naloxone was administered, after which the victim regained consciousness, Deputy Police Chief John Klett said.

The victim was transported to a hospital by ambulance for followup care, Klett said.
