Berlin Resident Awards Her 23rd Scholarship
The Andy Thiede HR Certification Scholarship was established in 2016 by Andrea (Andy) Thiede, an HR professional from Berlin, Connecticut
Andrea (Andy) Thiede of Berlin, a 25+ year human resource professional recently awarded two scholarships to help offset the expense of testing for an advanced HR certification. Andy awarded scholarships to Anais Nunez of Trumbull, and Latoya Facey of Manchester.
Anais was selected for the HR Certification Scholarship based on her passion for helping people feel valued and supported, and making a positive impact in the workplace. She is also pursuing her master’s degree while working full-time as an HR Generalist. Anais will use the scholarship to test for the SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management-Certified Professional) designation.
Latoya was selected for the HR Certification Scholarship due to her deep commitment to the HR profession, and her mission to ensure that employees feel heard, supported, and valued while helping organizations maintain fair and effective workplace practices. She will also use the scholarship to test for the SHRM-CP designation.

Andy is an HR Consultant with KardasLarson LLC, and HRACC’s (Human Resource Association of Central Connecticut) Director of Chapter Operations. To date, Andy has awarded 23 HR certification scholarships, totaling more than $12,000.
