Berlin Stores Among 11 Recent State Liquor License Suspensions

A total of 11 establishments had their liquor licenses suspended between November and January by the Connecticut Liquor Control Commission.

BERLIN, CT — A pair of establishments in Berlin were among 11 Connecticut businesses which had their liquor licenses suspended between November 2017 and January 2018, according to public information from the Department of Consumer Protection's Liquor Control Commission.

Top Shelf Wines & Liquors, located at 300 New Britain Road in Kensington, had its license suspended from Nov. 8 through Nov. 10, 2017; the business also paid a $750 fine. The One Stop Food Store at 164 New Britain Road was suspended on Jan. 3, 2018, and paid a $500 fine.

Suspensions ranging from one to three days and fines between $500 and $1,000 were meted out for various offenses, such as selling liquor to minors, consumption on premise, sanitation and failure to hang permits in plain view.
