Berlin Swimming Pool Reopens After Cleanup
The town's Percival Pool was closed last Sunday when glass was found in the pool and it reopened Wednesday, July 31.
BERLIN, CT β Berlin's pool crisis is over as Percival Pool, after being shut down last Sunday, reopened on Wednesday, July 31.
According to an announcement Wednesday afternoon, town officials said the pool, shuttered Sunday when broken glass was found in the pool, opened at 1 p.m.
Percival Pool is located at 20 Highland Ave., Berlin, had to be drained, cleaned, inspected and, then, refilled before opening, work that began immediately after the situation was discovered.

News of the pool opening means Rocky Hill's pool is no longer free for Berlin pool pass holders.
Tuesday, Rocky Hill and Berlin announced a deal where Berlin pool passes would be honored at Rocky Hill's public swimming pool β Elm Ridge Outdoor Pool, located at 376 Elm St., Rocky Hill.
