Berlin Woman's Artistic Talents Pay Tribute To Local Police

She donated 13 hand-painted rocks for the Berlin Police Department, all depicting messages of thanks and inspiration.

BERLIN, CT β€” Thanks to one local resident's artistic talents and love for the local police department, the desks of many department employees will feature some unique handiwork.

Berlin resident Lisa Salamon showed her support for the department by donating 14 glossy, painted rocks with messages and images of hope and inspiration for Berlin's finest.

Some of the rocks depicted the "thin blue line" flag that has come to symbolize support for law enforcement.

Others offer messages of thanks and acknowledgement of the courage police have while on the job.

For its part, Berlin police officials were touched by the gesture, which was unveiled via social media.

"We'd like to thank Berlin resident Lisa Salamon for painting these beautiful rocks for us," wrote the BPD. "They are so special and we are so thankful that you shared them with us."
