Residents who are interested in seeing the work that has been completed at the school can stop by and tour those portions of the building that have been completed and opened to staff and students. Visitors will be able to see the new entrance, offices, media center, guidance suite, science labs and classrooms, as well as the fitness center, radio station, television station and cafeteria.
The purpose of the open house is to allow all residents, including those who might not normally have a reason to visit the high school, an opportunity to walk through the renovated portion of the building and see the work that has been done.

Board of Education President Gary Brochu said in a statement, “Berlin residents have been wonderful in approving and supporting the renovation of Berlin High School.” Brochu added, “The board thought it important to provide residents with the chance to tour the building. With approximately two-thirds of the building completed, I’m sure that residents will see a huge difference from the building that they may have grown up with.”
Tours of the newly-renovated sections, which are already in use by students and staff, will be led by students, staff and professionals involved with the building renovation. Those with questions concerning the Open House can contact the Board of Education office.
Although a third of the building is still under renovation, residents will have a lot to see. “Residents who are familiar with the high school, or attended it like me, will have trouble reconciling the renovated building with the old high school,” said Brochu. “At this point in the process, residents will really be able to get a sense of what the completed building will be like.” Adding, “Next year at this time, they are all invited back for the ribbon cutting.”
Residents attending the Open House can enter the building through the new main entrance.
