Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?
No.
Why are you seeking this office?
I am seeking re-election because I want to continue to try and make Connecticut a better place to work, live, raise your family and retire in.
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Affordability. Stop wasteful spending and reduce taxes.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I want to, and have made living in Berlin more affordable.
As a Berlin councilor I have aided in paying down the debt while being fiscally responsible and still holding tax increases for multiple years.
As a Republican, on the Judiciary Committee, I’ve worked at strengthening our law enforcement.
My opponent's party only acts to weaken law enforcement, which does not make anybody safer.
On the State Planning and Development Committee I have fought to keep zoning regulations local.
My opponent's party is pushing to allow for state overreach in the shaping of our local communities by empowering the state to define our zoning regulations.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
Affordability, public safety, and education are my top priorities.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
The positive results that I have achieved as a town councilor to build a better Berlin.
My experience as a high pressure, high dollar negotiator in my previous position.
The respect and support of my team and constituents in both Berlin and Southington.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Do what's right.
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I'm there for you and will always represent ALL the people of Berlin and Southington.
