Family And Friends Throwdown For MS

More than 100 guests attended the third annual event on Saturday, June 8, at the Keeney Memorial Cultural Center in Wethersfield. Guarnaccia, Newington, hosted the event which raised almost $4,000. In its three-year history, the event has raised nearly $15,000 for the fight against MS. Guarnaccia, who was diagnosed with MS in 1994, has been a member of the National MS Society, Connecticut Chapter’s board of trustees since 2003 and she also chairs the Connecticut Chapter programs committee. Noble, Cromwell, who also lives with the disease, was diagnosed in 1998. Tukey, East Hartford, volunteers regularly with the Connecticut Chapter and fundraises to support the 6,000 Connecticut residents living with multiple sclerosis.
