This Berlin Election Is Very Scary

The winner of the town's top scarecrow for 2023 will be announced on Halloween.

BERLIN, CT — Voting for the upcoming municipal elections is early next month, but town officials Tuesday reminded residents voting for an equally important election is ongoing.

The scarecrows taking part in the 2023 Berlin Best Scarecrow contest are up and scaring crows and, now, the town wants folks to get a ballot and vote.

Voting slips are available at the Berlin Community Center, Berlin Senior Center, Berlin-Peck Memorial Library and Berlin Town Hall.

Community participation in the endeavor is important because the winners will only be determined by the public, with one vote allowed per person.

Voting officially ends on Friday, Oct. 27, at 1 p.., with the winner announced on Halloween, which this year is Tuesday, Oct. 31.
