Good Cause Gifts Celebrates First Anniversary

Good Cause Gift Shop celebrated its one-year anniversary Thursday. The celebration brought out local officials who hail the store as a terrific part of this community.

"It's great to have a business of any kind in this economy but Good Cause has served as a reason to celebrate with their mission," Mayor Adam Salina said. "The fact that they employ people who are handicapped or disabled and can also be a thriving business in town is wonderful."

Good Cause Gifts is a nonprofit gifts and accessories store located in Berlin. The shop is funded by Futures, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to special education. The gift shop employs individuals with disabilities from the southeastern Connecticut community.
