BERLIN, CT β€” The Berlin Police Department announced Friday that one of its longtime public servants is retiring.

According to the BPD, Michael Manning began his BPD career on July 1, 1987 and he went on to spend the next three and a half decades plus in Berlin.

During that time, he has moved up the police ladder, serving as a detective, field training office and, even, as the BPD Honor Guard.
