It chronicles in detail the first rail service to link Meriden to Hartford, with much of the track running right through Berlin. It was founded in 1839 when rail travel was in its infancy.

According to the Berlin Historical Society, DiSarro is a friend of local historians, with stories about the train station and the Red & White store on Harris Street on the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library’s website.
