How would you react if Rocky the Rock Cat, the New Britain Rock Cats mascot, surprised you at your cubical at work? Or came knocking at your house door? Granted the furry cat is lovable, but still a 6-foot cat sneaking up on you is quite a surprise.
This was the scene for many Rock Cats fans this Valentine’s Day! Rocky delivered over 30 Rock Cats Sweetheart Special Packages to fans throughout Connecticut.
Husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends ordered the Sweetheart Special and were given the opportunity to have the package delivered to their Valentine at the location of their choice.

Maybe they ordered the package for the beautiful flower arrangement from Gordon Bonetti Florist? Or maybe just to see the look of surprise on their Valentine’s face when they came to pick up a delivery at the front desk of their office, only to find Rocky waiting with open arms!
Deliveries were made to homes, office parks including Subway’s Corporate Office and The Hartford, schools like Kingwood Oxford in West Hartford and the Country School in Madison. Rocky also delivered to bowling alleys, doctors offices and more. He was quite the busy cat.

In addition to the Gordon Bonetti floral arrangement, the Sweetheart Special included a date night at a Rock Cats game, featuring two MVP tickets, two food platters and beverages from the Samuel Adams Bar & Grill and a welcome on the video board. Also included were two oversized Rock Cats coffee mugs filled with chocolate.

New Britain will take on the Boston Red Sox Double A Affiliate, the Portland Sea Dogs. Rocky is hoping you and the sweethearts in your life will be there to cheer on the Cats.
