Suspect Arrested In Berlin Bank Robbery

BERLIN, CT — Police have made an arrest in connection with a TD Bank robbery at Farmington Avenue in Berlin Jan. 15. Frederick Johansen, 34, of 156 West Main St., Vernon, was arrested at Superior Court in New Britain and charged with second-degree robbery and fifth-degree larceny.

He was held on $250,000 bond and is currently in prison at Hartford Correctional Center.

Police said in a statement: "After disseminating the description and photo of the suspect and vehicle back in June, our investigators received a number of tips and leads that were pursued. We would again like to thank all the media outlets that shared our requests for information and the members of the community who contacted us about this case."
