Berlin High's Dynamic Duo, Find Out Why
Both named 'Commended Students' in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program.
BERLIN, CT — Berlin High School Principal Eileen Eustis announced recently that two students have been named Commended Students in the 2023 National Merit Scholarship Program.
They are Adriano Rasmussen and Donovan Yeung.

A Letter of Commendation from the school and National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), which conducts the program, will be presented to these scholastically talented seniors.
From advanced and honors to AP and University of Connecticut ECE courses, Yeung has challenged himself academically since entering Berlin High School.

He is a member of the Berlin High School swim and tennis teams and is a co-founder/president of the BHS Coding Club.
After graduation he plans to major in computer science.
Rasmussen has taken advantage of extensive advanced, honors, AP, and UConn ECE course offerings throughout his tenure in high school.
Along with Yeung, Rasmussen helped co-found the BHS Coding Club and he is a section leader in the school band.
Upon graduation he hopes to attend college in the Boston area to study applied physics.
About 34,000 Commended Students throughout the nation are being recognized for their exceptional academic promise.
Commended Students placed among the top 50,000 students who entered the 2023 competition by taking the 2021 Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT ).
