UPDATE: Bethel Shooting: 3 Shot, 1 Dead in Apparent Domestic Dispute: BREAKING
One person is dead from a gunshot wound, and two are injured, according to First Selectman Matthew Knickerbocker.

BETHEL, CT--
Update 5:22 p.m.
Lead Investigator on the case Lt. Michael Libertini has issued the following statement regarding Friday's shooting:
"Bethel Police responded to 11 Governors Lane on a 911 hang-up. Upon call back there was no answer. Two Officers were sent to the house as a matter of routine. Officers discovered 3 people shot, one fatally. Two were transported to an area hospital. Bethel Police Detectives are investigating with assistance from CSP major crimes. Bethel have no reason to believe residents are in any danger."
Update 5:05 p.m.
The Bethel Police Department posted the following message on their Facebook page:
"Bethel Police have responded to a triple shooting on Governors Lane where one person is deceased and two were transported to the hospital. There is no reason to believe anyone else is in danger."
Update: 4:55 p.m. Friday:
Police have not yet released their official report at this time or the identities of the victims involved in Friday afternoon's shooting.
Rev. Karen Cook, Pastor of Bethel United Methodist Church, lives in a home nearby and said she was very saddened to hear about what happened today, on Good Friday.
"I just got finished with the stations of the cross and I followed the ambulance up the hill," Cook told Patch. "It's very sad."
Cook said that she did not know much about the residents of the house in which the shooting occurred and that they "kept to themselves."
Matt Knickerbocker told Patch that Lt. Michael Libertini is the lead investigator on the case and that an official report will be issued when their investigation is completed.

One person has been killed in Bethel Friday afternoon from a gunshot wound, according to First Selectman Matthew Knickerbocker.
The First Selectman told Patch there was a domestic dispute at approximately 3 p.m. and one person has been pronounced dead. Two people have been taken to Danbury Hospital, he said.
The shooting happened on Governor's Lane and the road is blocked off while detectives on scene investigate, Knickerbocker said.
No children were involved, he said, and he does not yet know the relationship between the victims.
The detective bureau is currently on scene investigating.
