BETHEL, CT-- Absentee ballots for the 2016 Presidential Primary will available on April 5, 2016 at the Town Clerk's office, 1 School Street, Bethel.

Residents can use an absentee ballot if they meet the required criteria and belong to a party, Democrat or Republican, and then vote in that party's primary.
Below are the requirements for absentee ballot voting: if you are unable to appear at the polling place during the hours of voting for one or more of the following reasons:
- Active service in the Armed Forces of the United States
- Absence from the town during all of the hours of voting
- Illness
- Religious tenets forbid secular activity on the day of the election, primary or referendum
- Duties as a primary, election or referendum official at a polling place other than your own during all of the hours of voting
- Physical disability
