• New European Grocery Store Is Coming To Bethel (patch.com) — Bethel residents can soon shop for Balkan and Mediterranean specialties at Euro Grocery, which is preparing to open on Stony Hill Road next to Stony Hill Diner. The new store, the chain’s fourth Connecticut location, plans a mid-May opening and will feature imported foods from Greece, Albania, Romania, Turkey, Croatia and Serbia.    

• Planners OK new Route 6 plaza by family-run pool company that ‘wants to be part of Newtown's growth' (newstimes.com) — A family-run pool and development company has won approval for a new retail plaza on Route 6 in Newtown, just before the road becomes Bethel’s Stony Hill corridor. With nearby apartment proposals and another Nejame-owned site on the Bethel border being prepared, residents can expect more commercial and medical development pressure along this shared stretch of highway.
