Obituary: Audrey May Moverley, 84, of Bethel

Audrey came to America in 1956 aboard the Queen Elizabeth

BETHEL, CT — Audrey May Moverley, 84, formerly of Bethel, passed on December 29, 2018 with her family by her side at their home, after a battle with Alzheimer's.

Audrey was born on Oct. 12, 1934 in England to the late Kathleen Dooley and William Moverley, predeceased by sisters Pauline and Eileen and brother-in-law Med. Audrey came to America in 1956 aboard the Queen Elizabeth, she settled in Westchester County, NY, where she started her thirty plus year career with the Research Institute of America. In 1970 Audrey moved to Bethel, where she lived a loyal and loving life within the community.

Audrey leaves behind her only child, best friend and dear daughter, Paula Moverley Parker and husband Gary of NC; beloved niece Susanne Booth and husband Colin of England. Her Australian family, Peter, Lou and Ann as well as their families. She is survived by two granddaughters, Dakota Bender and husband Jacob, Taylor Parker and partner Will and grandson, Colton Parker. She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren Parker, Harper and Grayson, all of whom she treasured.

All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life in honor of Audrey which will be held on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 3 p.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church located at 95 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, CT. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you pay it forward with kindness.
