BETHEL, CT — Barbara Ann (Boccadoro) Carlo, age 88, of Newtown, passed away Friday, Nov. 11, 2022, at home peacefully with her family and dedicated aides at her side. She was the widow of Robert V. Carlo, Jr.

She was born in Stamford, Sept. 17, 1934, daughter of the late Felix and Pauline (Capone) Boccadoro. Prior to moving to Newtown, she was a Bethel resident since 1963 and was the proprietor of Bride’s Etc. in Bethel.

Barbara is survived by her children: Jay (Lisa) Weir of Danbury, CT; Lori (Bob) Anderstrom of Ninety Six, SC; Kevin Weir of Wilmington, NC; Gary (Ellen) Carlo of Thomaston, CT; Nancy (Kevin) Garvey of Bethel, CT, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and extended family.

The family will receive friends at the Bethel Funeral Home, 215 Greenwood Ave., Bethel, Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Interment in St. Peter Cemetery, Danbury will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
