Bethel-based SCOTTY Fund To Hold Town Picnic

The non-profit provides financial and family support to children with life-threatening and critical illnesses and their families.

BETHEL, CT — The SCOTTY Fund will be hosting its annual town picnic on Saturday to raise money for the organization’s efforts to help children with illnesses and their families. The non-profit organization provides financial and family support to children with life-threatening and critical illnesses and their families.

The event is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday on the front lawn of the municipal center. Admission is $7 and includes all amusements, games, pony rides, contests and entertainment. Food, drinks, a bake sale and food trucks, which are new this year, will be available.

The Bethel-based SCOTTY Fund has raised more than $1 million since it was founded in 1996 in memory of Scott Anderson, a 3-year-old who died from cancer.
