The arrest was made following a three-month police investigation.
BETHEL, CT — The pretrial hearing for a man accused of inappropriately touching a 10-year-old girl in his care was continued from Monday to Dec. 11.
Nathan K. Shupp, 43, of Bethel, was arrested in July after a three-month police investigation following complaints filed by the child's relatives. He pleaded not guilty in August to fourth-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to child and illegal sexual contact charges, according to court documents.
The child's mother told police she stopped letting her daughter go over to Shupp’s house after the girl told her how Shupp had touched her.
