Bethel Fire Company Celebrates Life of Late Member

The celebration of life service will be held at Bethel Fire Headquarters

BETHEL, CT — Bethel Fire & EMS and the rest of the town will be celebrating the life of Ira Pollack on Saturday.

In addition to his time spent as a volunteer firefighter, Pollack spent over 30 years in service to the Bethel Department of Public Works, and many years developing and then leading the Danbury Railway Museum. As a musician, he was also a familiar site on the Bethel town green and in the many area music venues.

The celebration of life service will be held at Bethel Fire Headquarters, located at 38 South Street Bethel Connecticut from 1-5 p.m.

Due to limited parking at the station, guests are being requested to park at the municipal center and Parloa Park. A shuttle bus donated by HARTransit will bring attendees to the firehouse.

"It is our distinct honor to have been called upon to have this service at our location for a man like Ira and that honor could only be made more special by your attendance at this celebration of life service for our Brother and Friend," 2nd Assistant Chief Brendan P. Ryan wrote on the Company's Facebook page.
