Bethel Food Pantry Seeks Donations

Bethel's Director of Social Services Jennifer Lawlor announced Tuesday that the emergency food pantry in Town Hall is seeking donations.

BETHEL, CT — Director of Social Services Jennifer Lawlor is seeking help from the community to restock the Town Hall food pantry.

"I maintain a small pantry here for people/families to access as needed during the week. If you can donate anything it can be dropped off to me before 2 p.m. Monday - Thursday or anytime before 4 p.m. to the Senior Center Director," Lawlor said.

The emergency food pantry is located in the Town Hall, 1 School Street, and helps residents who need food and supplies they may have run out of before they can restock at the monthly food pantry located at St, Thomas Church.

Gift cards and monetary donations for emergencies are always appreciated. The Social Services Director is also asking for the following supplies:

  • Sunscreen (30 SPF or above is best)
  • Toilet paper
  • Feminine Hygiene Products
  • Laundry Soap
  • Cleaning Sprays
  • Sponges
  • Paper towels
  • Peanut Butter
  • Olive oil
  • Cooking Oils (canola, vegetable etc)
  • Sugar
  • Brown rice
  • Low sodium broth
  • SALT FREE canned goods
  • Canned WHITE tuna
  • Spices (salt/pepper, garlic or onion powder etc)
  • Healthy snacks for kids
  • Granola and/or Protein bars
  • Instant Coffee
  • Tea bags (regular and herbal)
  • Low Sugar cereal
