Bethel Inlands Wetlands Commission to Hold Public Hearing on Maple Ave. & Maple Ave. Ext. Proposals

Hearing will take place Sept. 29 at 7 p.m.

A letter was sent out to select residents advising them of a public hearing by Bethel’s Inlands Wetlands Commission.

The meeting is regarding an application by Toll CT II Limited Partnership to build a 71-lot subdivision on property located on Maple Ave. and Maple Ave. Ext.

According to the Town of Bethel’s subdivision requirements:

  • All subdivision proposals must minimize flood damage
  • All subdivision proposals shall have public utilities and facilities such as water, septic, gas, electrical and water systems constructed to minimize flood damage
  • All subdivision proposals shall have adequate drainage
  • Base elevation data must be provided for areas that contain 50 lots or 5 acres, whichever is less.

The general public hearing will be held in the General Purpose Room of the Bethel Municipal Center, 1 School St.
