Bethel Local Hero: 'Always There'

BETHEL, CT — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented times. Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these everyday heroes.

Laureen Natalino in Bethel nominated Bethel police dispatcher and volunteer firefighter Patrick Magyar as a Patch Local Hero.

Magyar (and the rest of the Stony Hill Volunteer first responders) give "regardless," Natalino said, and are "always there... going on emergency calls... putting others first."

And are you getting a kick out of all the drive-by police and firefighter parades for children's birthdays? That's Magyar organizing them, Natalino said.
