Bethel Middle School Closed Monday Following Fire
Firefighters responded to the call at around 1:00 Sunday afternoon.

BETHEL, CT — Bethel Middle School is closed Monday following a Sunday afternoon fire, in which no one was hurt.
Bethel Fire & EMS, along with Stony Hill Fire Rescue, responded to the call at around 1:00 Sunday afternoon. First responders reported smoke in the building.
The building's sprinkler system was able to contain the fire, according to a report from Bethel Fire & EMS.

According to a post from a school spokesperson on its Facebook page, "Clean up operations will begin soon but we are in the process of evaluating the impact of the fire on the electrical panels."
