Bethel to Open First-Ever Holiday Market

"I thought of this because I love being able to help the local families, and doing so while supporting local businesses..."

BETHEL, CT — The Town has announced its first holiday market, "Our Favorite Things," scheduled for Dec. 2.

Market-goers will be able to select items and gift cards from Bethel shops and vendors.

"I thought of this because I love being able to help the local families, and doing so while supporting local businesses," said Bethel's director of social services, Megan Alworth-Khazadian.

There will also be a "giving tree," Alworth-Khazadian said, "for people who wish to purchase something for a household in need, for the holidays."

Shoppers are encouraged to contribute an item to the Bethel Community Food Pantry.

The holiday market will be held on Dec. 2 from 2 - 7 p.m. in the G.P. Room of the Clifford J. Hurgin Municipal Center, located at 1 School Street in Bethel.
