BETHEL, CT — The Bethel Police Department is looking to hire an entry level police officer, according to officials.

The position, which is advertised on PoliceApp.com, has a salary range of $58,706 -$86,579, depending on experience and other criteria.

The position enjoys a pension (60 percent after 25 years, 70 percent after 30 years) a tax-deferred retirement savings plan, education incentive, and tuition assistance, among other perks.

Applicants must possess U.S. citizenship, a high school diploma or G.E.D., and a valid U.S. driver's license. Applicants with felony or Class A or B misdemeanor convictions will not be considered.

Those interested must submit an application through the Police App online by Feb. 3, and all applicants must pass a written examination prior to submitting their application.
