Bethel Proposed New Police Station Vote Set for Dec. 17

Some residents say the old station is too small, outdated and built on a swamp. Others say it's too large, too expensive. What do you think?

Bethel residents have decided to set the vote for Thursday, Dec. 17, 2015 to build, or not build, a new police station.

Voters will be asked to vote “yes” to approve or “no” to not approve building the new proposed $13.5 million police station on town-owned property located at Judd Ave. and Route 302 near the Bethel Public Schools complex. Polls will be open on Dec. 17 from 6 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Opponents have said the project is too close to the schools, too large and too expensive.
