BETHEL, CT — Residents will have the opportunity to vote Tuesday on the 500,000-gallon Chestnut Ridge water tank officials have proposed installing in the woods between Long Meadow Lane and Briar Cliff Manor.

The Planning & Zoning Commission approved plans for the tank, which is aimed at increasing both the quality of water and the town's capacity to store it, last summer.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., at the municipal center, Berry Elementary School or the Stony Hill Fire House.
