Bethel Schools Chief Named 'Superintendent Of The Year'
Bethel's Christine Carver was named "School Superintendent of the Year" by the University of Connecticut's Neag School of Education Alumni.

BETHEL, CT — Public schools chief Christine Carver has been named the 2020 Outstanding School Superintendent of the Year by the University of Connecticut's Neag School of Education's Alumni Board.
This award is given annually to a UConn graduate who "has made a significant impact on education, has a national reputation for her/his work, has been an inspiration to other professionals, and has shown continued involvement with the Neag School of Education," according to a news release.
Previously, Carver was the associate superintendent of human capital development for Newington Public Schools and also held various district-level administrative positions for New London Public Schools. Carver has also been active with the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents and various legislative task forces for the Connecticut General Assembly.

Carver will be formally recognized at Neag's 22nd annual Alumni Awards Celebration on March 14.
