Bethel Woman Charged With DUI, Multiple Traffic Violations: Newtown Police
Police accuse the woman of committing multiple traffic violations in an unregistered vehicle.

NEWTOWN, CT — A Bethel woman was arrested for driving under the influence after she allegedly committed multiple traffic violations, according to Newtown Police.
Laura Prescott Morgan, 41, was traveling west on Sugar Street in an unregistered vehicle when police say she committed the traffic violations at 1:36 a.m. Saturday morning, according to the police report. A traffic stop revealed that she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, police say.
Morgan was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol or drugs, operating an unregistered vehicle, failure to drive upon right and failure to drive in the proper lane on a multiple-lane highway.

She was released on a $500 None-Surety bond and is due in Danbury Superior court on March 10.
