BIOWOMAN is a new art movement that emerged in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2013 conceived by Galina Bleich .
The uniqueness of the project lies in BIOWOMAN’s spontaneous, self organizing and open character which operates without having a particular leader or permanent curator. This is reflected in the name of the project because in Greek “BIO” means life. Thus BIOWOMAN is a synonym for a natural, positive and renewable feminine principle in art.
After five shows in 3 countries (Russia, Germany and Israel) the BIOWOMAN phenomenon in it’s 6th iteration and will be featured this month in New York.
The Rabbithole Gallery presents the opening in conjunction with the annual festival of arts in Brooklyn’s historic DUMBO district, considered to be one of New York’s most exciting events.
Ms. White, an award winning multi-media artist, contributes to the show with her work “[ My] What-were-we Thinking Cap” which carries a powerful ecological message with universal relevance. ,
