Would law enforcement and/or the military fire upon American citizens?

The question has become, "Okay, so you're all pro-Second Amendment, and claim that this gives you the safeguard to defend against a corrupted government takeover using firearms, and blah blah blah. What makes you think you could win against the military or against law enforcement?"

Let me throw it back at you:

What makes you think the military or law enforcement, full of Americans, would willingly fire upon other Americans at the wishes of any government, and without just cause?

Jim Garrow makes mention of this very thing.

No one I personally know wants to usurp, overthrow, replace, destroy, dismantle, etc, the Federal government and take control of America. Many of us earnestly want simple government, a small and limited government, a government that governs and leaves us all the hell alone. There is no Amendment that says we can violently overthrow anyhting, much to the chagrin of the anti-gun crowd who would seek to paint that picture.

Would American soldiers, sailors, airmen, or Marines actually raise arms against other Americans? Please keep in mind that the majority of Combat Arms is full of those "TEA Party, gun-toting, psychotards" the left vilifies. Combat Arms is not known for being full of Big City urbanites, or College-educated liberals. For all any of us know, they might either lay down their arms or actually stand firm and challenge the orders of their superiors, knowing they reek of corruption.
