Come share your memories and stories for an upcoming true crime documentary about the 1970 Danbury bank robberies and bombings. The production team will sit down with you for a brief recorded interview, and you are welcome to bring along any historical photographs, clippings, or letters to be documented. Attendance is free and no appointment is required.

On February 13, 1970, three explosions tore through Danbury, CT.This was to be the finale of a stranger than fiction story, involving 2 brothers, that started in 1968 which involved bank robberies and murders in locations in Redding, Georgetown, and Vista, New York, as well as Missouri. Two of the murders were the brothers’ own father and grandmother.
Filmmaker, Blaze Mazur of Ridgefield, CT and Daniel J. Mulvihill, Jr., of Danbury, have extensively researched this story for over half a decade, having poured over thousands of pages of FBI files, National Archive materials, and filing FOIA requests with more than 20 agencies.They are still discovering many strange and unbelievable facts about this case and need local help from people who remember these crimes to bring the whole picture into focus before the memories of these crimes are lost forever.
The pair will be holding a second “Tell Us What You Remember” session. The session will be on Friday, October 2 at the Danbury Museum also from 10am to 4pm. What the documentary makers are looking for are people who remember- a lead, a photograph, a clipping or those who want to give an interview on camera. They wish to tell this story truthfully so that the victims and their loved one, the witnesses and law enforcement are honored and their story is respected.
