Join Byrd's Books for the launch of Bonnie Denmark's new book, The Trouble With Hector

Join us for the book launch of Bonnie Denmark's new children's book, The Trouble With Hector, on Wednesday October 7th at 7:00pm.

About the book:

A boy uses his savings to buy a lizard-or something like that-and gets much more than he bargained for. The boy and his new pet, Hector, form a fast bond, but when Hector goes to school for show-and-tell, the sparks really fly. After Hector's fire-breathing antics get him banished from school and home, he meets a new friend and discovers the taming power of love.

About the author:

The Trouble With Hector (Lawley Publishing) is Bonnie’s first children’s picture book. Though she’s written everything from educational materials to video scripts to health and science articles, children’s literature remains closest to her heart. After all, that’s where the magic happens!

Alongside her writing, Bonnie has worked nationally and internationally as an educator, editor, literacy specialist, and teacher trainer. She has also served on advisory panels focused on education, technology, and accessibility for people with disabilities. She has a master’s degree in linguistics as well as K-12 teaching credentials, and she loves to have fun with words.
