Car Fire Occurs at Hollandia Nursery Thursday Afternoon

At around 4:40 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, the Stony Hill Fire Department responded to a smoking car in the parking lot of , located at 95 Stony Hill Road. 

According to Fire Marshal Tom Galliford, crews found more than a smoking car, as "flames were showing from the engine compartment and extending into the passenger area." Stony Hill's Engine 3 crew quickly extinguished the fire with no injuries. About 15 firefighters responded and the scene was cleared within 30 minutes.

Galliford said the cause appears to be accidental in nature, "most likely an electrical problem in the dashboard."
