'Carrie On!' Fundraiser Benefits Kids of Bethel Mom Who Passed Away at 41

The "Carrie On!" fundraiser honors Bethel native Carrie Rakowski and is planned for Saturday, April 30 at the Meeting House Pub.

BETHEL, CT — Friends and family of a young mom who passed away in April of 2015 are planning a fundraiser to benefit her daughters.

The "Carrie On!" fundraiser is planned for Saturday, April 30 at 5 p.m. at the Meeting House Pub.

Bethel native Carrie Rakowski passed away from on April 15, 2015 at the age of 41, leaving two daughters behind.

Rakowski a Bethel High School Class of 1991graduate was the youngest of three. She earned her Bachelors Degree from Hartwick College in Oneonta, NY in 1995 and worked as a medical receptionist at Dermatology Associates of Western CT.

Her spirit lives on through her two young daughters— Madeline 13, and Annabelle 11.

"She whole heartedly devoted her life to them and was proud of their every accomplishment and achievement," her family said in her obituary.
