CT Open House Day June 11th - Rediscover Bethel
Join the Bethel Historical Society on June 11th to celebrate CT Open House Day
Please join the Bethel Historical Society in celebration of CT Open House Day on June 11th at the Historical Society Meeting House located at 40 Main Street in Bethel. Start time is 2 PM. A donation of $3.00 is suggested.
Bethel Town Historian Patrick Tierney Wild will present his program entitled "Bethel's Past Rediscovered". The program will feature a PowerPoint slide show that features historic photos of Bethel that have only been recently rediscovered and therefore have not been seen by the general public in over sixty years. Included will be photographs depicting the downtown area, local businesses, railroad scenes, schools, hatting, the Barnum Fountain and a few surprises as well. This program was presented last February at Byrd's Books to two sold out audiences and so if you were unable to attend at that time, please be sure to reserve a seat for this special encore presentation.
As space is limited, please call for reservations at 203 788-1974. Refreshments will be served.
