Don't Worry About That Helicopter in Bethel

A low-flying helicopter buzzing around Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield and Bethel is no cause for concern, according to Eversource.

The helicopter is taking high resolution photos of Eversource equipment in the towns, siad Frank Poirot, spokesman.

“The photos will help support and streamline preventative maintenance of the high-voltage transmission system, which help improve system reliability,” he said.

Flights will only take place during daylight hours and are weather permitting. Flights are expected to continue into next wee in the Newtown/Danbury area.
