Erika Margot Buchstor, 80, of Bethel, Passed Away on Wednesday

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church, Bethel, CT at a time to be announced.

Erika Margot Buchstor, 80, of Bethel, CT died peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Danbury Hospital after a brief illness.

Erika was born in Ulm, Germany to the late Karl and Katharina Meier Buchstor. She grew up in Heidenheim, Brenz, Germany and immigrated to the US in 1957. Erika worked at Carl Zeiss, Inc. in NYC and Thornwood, NY for many years. A former Brewster, NY resident, she later retired to Connecticut.

An avid NY Times crossword puzzle fan, Erika also enjoyed cooking. She was very dear to her family.
Survivors include her brother, Jorg Buchstor and his wife, Beate, of Freiburg, Germany. Her sister: Doris Buchstor of Heidenheim, Germany. Her niece: Kerstin Buchstor-Bennett and her husband, Carl, of Heidenheim, Germany. Her great niece: Jule E. Bennett and best friend, Frances M. Ebert, of Bethel, CT.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Bethel, CT at a time to be announced.
Burial will be in Heidenheim, Germany.
