Author Talk and Book Signing with Janet Kathleen Ettele

In anticipation of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s upcoming visit to Western CT State University in October, Byrd’s Books is excited to host an author talk/book signing with Janet Ettele on Sunday, September 23rd at 1:00 p.m. Joined by Geshe Lobsang Dhargey, a Tibetan Buddhist Monk from DNKL in Redding, Janet will discuss her books and Geshe Dhargey will answer questions on Buddhist dharma in the Upstairs Gallery at Molten Java.

How Generosity Works and How the Root of Kindness Works are the first two books in the How Life Works Series. The books are contemporary fables based on The Six Perfections taught in Buddhism by Eighth Century Buddhist monk Master Shantideva.

Janet Kathleen Ettele is a musician and author who brings the teachings of the Buddhist dharma into contemporary practice through her writing and music.
